Resolute is pleased to announce that Ron Hedges has joined its metro New York and national dispute resolution team.  Hedges is a nationally recognized former federal judge with extensive experience in e-discovery and in the management of complex litigation.  Based in metro New York, he has served as a special master, arbitrator and mediator nationwide.

Judge Hedges was a United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey for over 20 years. While a magistrate judge, he was the Compliance Judge for the Court Mediation Program, a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee, and both a member of, and reporter for, the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Committee.  Ron was also an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School where he taught mediation skills.

Ron speaks and writes on a variety of topics, many of which are related to electronic information, including procedural and substantive criminal law, information governance, litigation management, and integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence into existing information governance policies and procedures. Among other things, Ron is the chair of the Court Technology Committee of the Judicial Division of the ABA and the co-chair of the NYSBA Committee on Technology and the Legal Profession. He is the lead author of a guide for federal judges on electronically stored information, and also the co-senior editor of The Sedona Conference Cooperation Proclamation, Resources for the Judiciary, Third Edition (June 2020).
