Beyond Technology Webinar: Practical Considerations in Virtual Mediations

April 6, 2020 4:00 PM (Eastern Time) – Please join us for an invite only webinar.

This webinar on April 6, 2020, 4:00PM  (Eastern Time) is designed to go beyond the basics of technology and etiquette that many webinars and videos cover. Instead, this webinar will offer participants an opportunity to participate in a dynamic discussion regarding the procedural, practical and substantive challenges deriving from a new reality in which mediations happen, for the time being, exclusively online.

The panel will offer the perspectives of professionals who routinely mediate disputes in their respective practices and have transitioned to using online tools to conduct mediations in this time of social distancing.

The panel will consist of:

Host: Ryan Hamilton (CEO Resolute Systems)

Moderator: Michele Fenice, Vice President, Chubb North American Lines

Panelists: Giulio Zanolla (Full- time mediator with Resolute Systems and Zanolla Mediation), Dan Gerber (Partner, Gerber, Ciano, Kelly, Brady LLP), Peter Halprin (Partner, Pasich LLP)

Participants will have an opportunity to interact with the panelists by asking questions and getting answers in real time. The panel discussion will range from how to prepare appropriately before the session, to how the mediation process can be tailored to allow for productive engagement from all stakeholders, and how to sustain the momentum in the settlement discussions in a virtual environment, as well as practical tips for the unexpected challenges presented by the online setting.

Taking all this into account is critical to resolve complex disputes through mediation, remotely successfully.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
