Resolute Systems Mediator Hon. George H. Brown Named to ADR Commission

Memphis, TN—Former Tennessee Supreme Court Justice George H. Brown has been named to Supreme Court of Tennessee’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission, the court announced. Judge Brown begins his three-year term January 10, 2015.

The division oversees certification of Rule 31 Mediators, and administers the procedure for training and approving mediators for use by the court. The commission is composed of judges, attorneys and non-attorney members, and meets on a regular basis to consider issues important to the development of court-connected ADR in Tennessee. Since his retirement from the
bench in 2005, Judge Brown, of Resolute Systems, has been one of the most active neutrals selected for both mediation and arbitration in Memphis and nationwide. His ADR experience includes resolving personal injury, complex commercial, employment, worker’s compensation, construction and contract disputes.

Judge Brown is a fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, as well as a member of the National Association of Distinguished Neutrals. He was named a Leading Lawyer in 2014 in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution. For more information contact Mike Weinzierl at [email protected] or (901) 523-2930.
