Resolute Mediator Russ Hartigan to be Honored at Saint Ignatius Luncheon

Former Cook County Judge and Resolute Systems mediator Russell W. Hartigan will be presented with the The Alumni Award for Excellence In The Field of Law by the Saint Ignatius College Prep Law Society at a luncheon on February 23, 2018. Hartigan, an alumni of the school, is also President of the Illinois Bar Association.  Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley will also be honored at the luncheon, receiving the The Award for Excellence in the Field of Law.

During his judicial tenure, Judge Hartigan was known as a highly effective pre-trial mediator, helping lawyers and their clients resolve pending litigation through the mediation process. He was rated “Highly Recommended” by the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association for Circuit and Appellate Courts.

The Law Society was founded in 2005 and welcomes all alumni, parents and friends of the school who are involved in the field of law. The annual membership donation provides an opportunity for law professionals to establish a lasting legacy while also supporting the school and its students. All membership donations directly support the Michael F. Lefkow Endowment, a memorial tuition assistance endowment renamed in 2007 (formally the Law Society Endowment created in 2001). The endowment has provided financial assistance to 5 students for a combined 9 years at Saint Ignatius.

In addition to his mediation practice with Resolute Systems, Hartigan is partner in the law firm of Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd.
